Sitting down to a slice of history

Quadrino is a casual restaurant located inside the Ponga room of Grancaffè Quadri. The ground floor was restored in early 2018 revealing the original stuccowork from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Philippe Starck, designer of the restoration, decided to highlight the effects of the high water by selecting unvarnished brass for the legs of the tables, the reception desk at the entrance and everything else in contact with the floor. The idea is that the metal will oxidize and change color over time, revealing by the changing tide levels, the pulse of the city. Looking out directly onto St. Mark’s Square, guests enjoy traditional Italian dishes revisited by Max Alajmo. The menu changes regularly with simple preparations made with genuine, seasonal ingredients.

The Quadrino menu is composed of enjoy Italian and Venetian classics that change weekly, but always include a selection of appetisers, pastas, risotto and main dishes, as well as Quadrino classics like chef Max Alajmo's crispy gourmet pizza, house-cured anchovies and the Big Max, our take on the classic hamburger.
