Rita Alajmo, the mother as well as a great cook and confectioner, was one of the key person who handed down her passion for cooking to her son Massimiliano.

Currently Rita is the supervisor of the "Il Calandrino" patisserie and follows personally all the most complex working, such as bread leavening, shaping cakes and making chocolates.
